Public Outcomes

The public outcomes for my project are on hold until I receive the final stock for the book as I want to be able to link everything to the purchase page when sending out any promotion – especially when it is so close to being available.

What I will do instead is write about what I am doing in preparation for when I am able to promote the work.

Instagram

I have already been posting my work for Darling on Instagram, I currently have 2000 plus followers on the platform. It isn’t a lot when you consider that Instagram has over a billion active users, but I decided not to create a separate Instagram account for the project because I want to continue building and promoting work from one account.

I have also mocked up a way to present the book alongside single images on Instragram with grids.

As part of advertising my project, I have created a shorter trailer from my video that goes alongside Darling. This will be posted on Instagram and other social media with links to the full video as well as the book.

I have collated a spreadsheet of contacts from magazines, instagram pages and local galleries, and bookshops, all of which have previously featured, published or exhibited similar work.

Once I have the revised book up and available to sell online I will be sending emails to the listed contacts with hope of a reply. It doesn’t make sense for me to start contacting anyone to feature my project when I don’t have stock, or a link to buy it online.

I have been able to get feedback from contacts in the creative industry a this point in time based on the test print.
